Today’s Thrifty Treasures
This morning I just wasn’t feelin it. That Saturday morning urge to jump in the car and make the garage sale rounds. I figured since I scored big the last two weeks, today would be a total bust. I ended up only going to two, but found some real treasures!
Old windows…2 bucks each! 🙂 Cha-ching! Just look at that chippy goodness.
Here’s my FAVORITE find…a vintage milking pail! Ain’t she a beauty?
cute stuff!
I am so jelous! I can’t find old windows anywhere and I have a spot begging for one! Great find! I found you through Tatertots and jello. Thanks for showing us your treasures so I can be jelous of you all weekend long 😉
WOW – I am so jealous about those windows. Awesome Score!! Did you buy them? If so I can’t wait to see what you do with them!!

Hi Linda, I’m in Canada…lots of good stuff up here! Thanks for stopping by!
I just found a window, like those, with 2 panes–but no idea what to do with it–I usually paint sayings on old barn boards… but any ideas what i can do with the window?
Hi Beth, I don’t know what I’m doing with mine yet but check this out: http://aimee-weaver.blogspot.com/2010/09/hallway-storage-solution.html
So pretty!
Now why can I not find such finds at the sales around here?! I would so have a loud beating heart for the vintage milk container & trunk. ( I had so many old windows, I had to “thin out” my collection when we moved here to the stone cottage).

Thanks for your visit — and the great idea about customizing my little ikea cabinet!

Great finds. I love lall that chippy paint on the windows and for $2.00 each you couldn’t not buy them. I’ll stick around and look around a bit to see what you’ve found previously.
I just looked at some old windows this morning, and they were 15 dollars each, needed a good washin’ and were not nearly as adorable as yours! Very well done, and I love the colors.
I love your windows. Great price too. What u gonna do with them?
I’m not sure…I really like this idea: http://aimee-weaver.blogspot.com/2010/09/hallway-storage-solution.html 🙂
Love the windows and such a deal. What do you plan to do with them?

Cah Ching is right!! Love the windows!! Good thing you ‘forced’ yourself out 😉

I love that milking can! Reminds me of my Uncle’s farm and visiting when I was a girl. Thanks for sharing. Visiting from Coastal Charm. Happy Thrifting! Larri at Seams Inspired
That’s some great stuff! I would not have know that was a milk pail, never seen one. Love the windows.
