$25 Project Armoire

I scored an awesome Stanley brand Armoire for a mere $25 on kijiji. Booyah.

Pretty sure I couldn’t go to Wal-Mart and buy a laminate cabinet for that price.

Well, maybe it wasn’t completely awesome but it had great potential.

Here are some before shots.

It had a bad paint job, tons of flowers and cheesy stenciling. Β Not my thang.

So I painted it inside and out in Benjamin Moore Pike’s Peak Gray. And glazed it in Benjamin Moore Wolf Gray.

It was supposed to go in my craft room but it was too stinkin heavy to make it up the stairs. So it’s now in our foyer which is actually pretty convenient.

I love the shape of the top of it.

I replaced the missing shelf and then added a pegboard and a bulletin board to the inside of the doors.

I used containers from Dollarama to organize all my supplies. There was even a spot for my Cricut machine!

These nice, deep drawers hold all Β my fabric and tools.Β The third drawer corrals miscellaneous craft supplies.

I love it so much! Now when I work on a project, I won’t have to go on a scavenger hunt to find my supplies all over the house. They are in my Project Armoire.

My $25 Project Armoire!!! πŸ™‚

  12. Whew! When you said it had to stay in the foyer, I thought you were giving it up as a craft closet. But you didn’t have to, thank goodness because it’s such a fantastic place to hide your crafting supplies. And it looks really classy in your foyer — now that you worked your magic! I love the bonnet top!
