a few pieces

Hi there….long time no post! Things have been busy. Good busy. I’ve missed blogging regularly and sharing stuff with ya!

Here are a couple of pieces that I recently completed for a client.

First up, a maple end table. Poor little fella…missing knobs and just looking tired.

A couple of coats of black paint and some nickel knobs and he is very dapper!

Next up…this vintage stereo cabinet. Oh, this one caught my eye immediately with its pretty shape and cabriolet legs.

Luckily the stereo had already been removed so I could begin the beautification process right away!

A couple of coats of black and some new Paris clock knobs and voila…

Last up…this framed vintage crewel/embroidery that I found while thrifting. I bought it to go in a client’s dining room but the frame was a little dull.

I gave it some freshening up with Martha Stewart’s Bay Leaf paint. I love how it made the thread colors come to life!

Well…that’s all for now.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I would love it if you gave a tutorial on your painting process. Is it spray paint? How do you get it so smooth?

Love the black. And you are right, the green on the frame really brought the artists work to life!

  4. That’s a lot! I am always amazed at how much restoring, repurposing and recreating you get done. All the pieces look so good. Thanks for sharing.
