goodies from Elkhorn
Here are the things that I bought at Elkhorn Antique Flea Market on Sunday.
iron fixture for porch
brown velvet riding hat
square scalloped ironstone bowl
locker basket…I have an obsession with these
glass door knobs for my dressing room doors
grain sack tote (to carry my goodies)
butterfly print
victorian game cards…i think i’m gonna frame these…kinda cool
old clock.
ironstone platter
and last, but not least…this FAB insurance agency sign from 1914. It’s double sided and so cool. My plan was to hang it in the billiards room but dang it, it is too big. My husband is in insurance so it needed to come home with me. 😉
So it’s home for now is here. I kind of like it here, though.
So that’s it for my finds from the weekend.
Hope you have a great day…I’m off to the dentist to get a crown.
And not the sparkly fun kind.
Susan,
Did the kids bathroom get finished yet?????? Would love to see the photos!
Hi Lori! The major stuff is finished, but I still have to hang the new blinds and towel racks. I’ll post as soon as it’s done!
The iron fixture is GLORIOUS! We recently went to Savannah and I found a whole collection of similar fixtures that had been refinished in a lime green. Super funky and I’m still sad I didn’t buy them all!
What great finds! I love the huge insurance sign! It’s fabulous! The photo in your other post of your hubby holding it made me laugh. He looks so thrilled to be holding your huge sign, lol.
I hope your dentist appt is as pain free as possible!
The hutch that is holding the sign is just like mine and I haven’t painted mine either…but I sure like what you have in yours better….thanks for the ideas for the vignettes. btw here every single day following along with your inspiring designs and energy!
Awesome finds! Love the sign placement. 🙂 So, I received the banner in the mail today and it is so so sweet! I’m currently hanging it in every area of my house that I can. 🙂 I’ll be blogging about it shortly and will link you when I do. Again, thanks so much for the sweet banner. I’m going to get a ton of use from it. Blessings,
Samantha
WOW! Great finds! Lurv’in that grain sack! You are going to have to come back down South and show us some places to visit!
Love all your stuff – I share your locker basket obsession 🙂 I think the insurance sign is my favorite thing you found and it looks great in your hutch!
I’m thinking that I seriously hate living in CA because lack of antiques and there are NO good finds here. 1955 and forward is about all we ever get. Oh and when I see 80s stuff as vintage you might as well send me to the ER.
You have my sympathy! I love antiques and when I see items on Craigslist as antiques and I find 50’s forward….I’m bummed!
PS….. Was the butterfly print one of a kind? Or was there more available?
Hi Cori, She only had one at the show but here is her email: ppassi@aol.com Hope that helps!
Love your fabulous finds! Thanks for sharing and inspiring us. 🙂
I bet your dentist would add a diamond to your crown if you asked. 😉
These are fabulous finds!!
