what a difference a door makes
The only thing about the outside of our house that bugged me was the front door.
It was white. The house is white. Yawn.
So I headed up to Ace Hardware and had my paint guru Jason custom color match a teensy weensy little paint chip from one of our shutters.
Call me crazy but I’m super traditional and like the door to match the shutters.
You can’t really tell from the photo but it’s a beautiful shade thats the perfect blend of green, blue and grey.
It completely changed the look of the front of the house. And my kids and hubby commented how much they liked it about a zillion times.
They’ve gotten so used to my decorating/diy/makeover shenanigans that they really don’t comment all that much. So when they do, it’s like a gold star at the top of my paper.
And I like gold stars.
P.S. Please ignore the fact that my house is in desperate need of power washing. That’s a project for another day.
P.P.S. Hopefully a project that won’t be done by me! 😉

I didn’t know your house needed to be power washed until you mentioned, then I went back and looked really hard at the picture to try to see the dirty spots!! Bahahaha!!!! You’re a perfectionist like me, when it comes to your own house.
