[$1] photo ornaments
Some folks get their kicks down on Route 66.
Not me. No, sirree. I get my kicks at the dollar section of Michaels or Target.
That’s where I found these tiny, red frames a few weeks ago.
I thought they’d make nifty photo ornaments.
The openings are 2 inches square, so I cropped some photos of my kids in photoshop and turned them to black & white.
Then I popped the photos into the frames…
and ran some red & white baker’s twine through the loops at the top.
Then I hung my $1 photo ornament on the tree and marvelled at my thrifty, simple creation.
Make some. You’ll marvel, too.

They look great, I love photos on the tree! I have one of all my family at different holiday gatherings.
They are not only thrifty but fabulous too! Love that you used the baker’s twine.
very cute idea.
Oooh! I need to get me some of those! I try to do a photo frame for us and the grandparents every year. It’s getting harder to keep up with now that we have 3 kiddos!
Thank you for the inspiration. I will be on the look out for some frames for myself.
