it’s me, it’s me, it’s Earnest T!
A little Earnest T. Bass via Andy Griffith Show for ya there.
Tonight I was at Target and picked up the April 2012 issue of my favorite magazine, Country Living.
Can their covers get any better?
Anyhoo, flipped over a few pages to the Dear Country Living section and look what I spied.
Being featured in Country Living has been a dream of mine for a long time. This was like getting my big toe in. Baby steps, right? Β π
And in other news…OH MY STINKIN HECK! (Picked that little phrase up when we lived in Utah.)
NOW I know how to get people to comment….Just ask an opinion!!!Β Who knew??? π
You guys came out of the woodwork to back me up on leaving the chippy floor in the sleeping porch! Out of over a hundred votes between here and the M&M Facebook page, only 4 or 5 people said to paint.
I was pretty sure my gut was right, but having that overwhelming confirmation was awesome!
It was like having a hundred and twenty something of my closest friends saying, “NO, Susan…those pants do NOT make your butt look big!” π
So thanks, friends.
And last but not least, here’s what I was working on this afternoon.
You like chippy? How’s that for chippy?
It was 68 degrees here today and windy as all get out. Perfect for prying and chiseling and sanding an impossibly damaged, but oh so charming side table.
Toodles!
how fun! i can’t wait to get my issue! π
I laughed out loud at your “pants” comment. Seriously….so funny! Glad everyone agreed to keep the floor. Its fab!
Anne
You are so much fun to read! Always have a smile after a visit with you~Thanks!
Now I have to wait for my issue of Country Living arrives.
Thanks again for sharing!
I saw that today when I picked up my issue and thought “Ohhh what a great idea! I will definatley have to do that!” But I didn’t know it was you! How exciting!!!
how fun! listen…your home NEEDS to be featured in CL someday! have you ever emailed them any photos of your home? i say go to them instead if waiting for them to find you. just a thought…
the wind literally blew over my daughter daughter today – LOL!
How fun to have your note AND picture in there! A couple of months ago BH&G printed my note about painting my front door orange, but no picture. I’m jealous!
Congrats on the Country Living write up.

Umm, hello!! Your house is just Country Living waiting to happen. I think they would have a hard time deciding what to eliminate from the photo shoot. I say go for it and submit some photos. π
Laura
Nope. Those pants look terrific on you ! Congrats on the magazine item. I’d be really excited, too. THAT is a side table ??? Wow, you can make something out of EVERYTHING ! I didn’t realize you were in Illinois…did the storms bypass you ? My brother is in Harrisburg and when I heard that’s where it hit, my heart sank. So sad for the states affected. (But he’s okay.) Love your blog, Susan, and glad you’re leaving the floor chippy. I voted for that !

What is that old saying, “Strike while the iron is hot”. Keep shooting things their way. Who
knows, maybe you could be on the cover before long. Your house is a perfect example
of what they are looking for.
yay! one of my bloggy friends is FAMOUS! congrats girlie!
