keepin it real

Albert Einstein said it best…

“If a cluttered desk signs a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?”

I love this quote. Let’s just say my mind is a swirling, whirling dervish of clutter.

If only my clutter were confined to my mind. Or a desk.  Unnnnnfortunately not.

My clutter is EV.

ERY.

WHERE.

In my defense, it’s not because I’m lazy. It’s because I’m CREATING. 😉  I usually have a million and one projects on the go at any given time. My problem is that I don’t confine my workspace to one area of my house. I work on things wherever the mood strikes.

This presents two big problems for me. 1) My crap is all over the place. 2) I can’t ever find anything when I need it.

Don’t worry. I don’t need an intervention. Hold off on that call to Dr. Phil or Oprah.  If you’re gonna call anybody, make it Nate Berkus. He is too cute. Love him.

I’m well aware of the problem.  I believe, though, that I have a solution. And it OF COURSE involves furniture! 🙂

I bought this beauty of an armoire on kijiji for 25 bucks! Yes, you read that right. cha-ching!

Isn’t it great? Well, this baby here is gonna solve my organizational prob-lay-mo.

I’m picking it up Saturday morning and then I’m gonna get busy!

Here are some inspiration photos that I’ve found…I can’t wait to get started!

Top 2 photos from Better Homes & Gardens.

Oh mama…check that one out. That one’s from the blog “In My Own Style.” If you wanna check out her creative space here it is. Amazing.

So you can count on a post early next week with photos of my amazingly, fantastically, beautifully organized project armoire.

Toodles!

I saw that! I considered it, but then realized that I have no where to put it. I’m so happy for you that you got it to contain your “creative genius”.

  2. Hi-

Thanks so much for featuring my craft closet. I have to admit my studioffice is in total chaos right now as I have been working on a few projects. Stuff is everywhere. I have to get it cleaned up before I start something new.

I am so glad you hooked up to me as I love finding new blogs. Your new armoire looks perfect to transform into your creative space. I have rearranged mine a few times until I figured out the best way to organize al lthe stuff for the way I work. Have fun with yours.

    My best- Diane

Second, My space looks cluttered too, and no matter how I try to organize it, I always have a “work in progress” laying somewhere. (Drives my neat freak of a husband crazy;)). Your new armoire looks sweet; love it.
