German shipping basket & a little vignette

My latest find is a German shipping basket.

Love the size, the shape it’s in, the handles, the shipping labels, the storage, and the fact that it’s from Germany.

My great grandfather emigrated to the U.S. from Germany back in 1903. My husband went to high school there. His family loved living in Germany.

It’s currently in our library as a coffee table.

Here’s a little vignette I put together using some of my thrifted/antique finds. I love putting things together for holidays that aren’t necessarily “holiday” decor.

Enjoy the day!

  1. The basket is very cool! And I love your little violin vignette. This is what I want to do more of in my home…just dress up some of my treasures for the holidays, rather than pull out all new things.

  3. I love just adding greenery, a bow, glitter…to whatever I already have to spruce it up for Christmas. Love your basket and your vignette!

It’s a beautiful basket and what a great idea to use it as a coffee table. I adore violin, this one looks like a Stradivarius, it’s a lovely vignette.
