$25 Project Armoire
I scored an awesome Stanley brand Armoire for a mere $25 on kijiji. Booyah.
Pretty sure I couldn’t go to Wal-Mart and buy a laminate cabinet for that price.
Well, maybe it wasn’t completely awesome but it had great potential.
Here are some before shots.
It had a bad paint job, tons of flowers and cheesy stenciling. Not my thang.
So I painted it inside and out in Benjamin Moore Pike’s Peak Gray. And glazed it in Benjamin Moore Wolf Gray.
It was supposed to go in my craft room but it was too stinkin heavy to make it up the stairs. So it’s now in our foyer which is actually pretty convenient.
I love the shape of the top of it.
I replaced the missing shelf and then added a pegboard and a bulletin board to the inside of the doors.
I used containers from Dollarama to organize all my supplies. There was even a spot for my Cricut machine!
These nice, deep drawers hold all my fabric and tools. The third drawer corrals miscellaneous craft supplies.
I love it so much! Now when I work on a project, I won’t have to go on a scavenger hunt to find my supplies all over the house. They are in my Project Armoire.
My $25 Project Armoire!!! 🙂
pretty pretty pretty…lovin that gray color and the organizational skills you’re showing off are fabulous! Isn’t it great when you get a bargain and can REALLY use it well?
LOVE THIS IDEA! I see these all the time and don’t think I have room for them – will be on the lookout for one for my upcoming craft room!
no way!!!! It’s amazing. How on earth do you get so much accomplished?
oh my gosh! i love this!!! i saw an armoire similar once in a magazine and I ripped it out and saved it for whenever I find a great armoire…this is awesome! And way to steal a deal!!
This is awesome! I love how you turned it into a place to store your crafting supplies…I soooo need a good place for all my “stff!” 🙂 Thanks for sharing it with us!

All I can say is WOW! I just can’t believe you got this beautiful Armoire for $25.00. Job well done!
Great place to store craft things! Love the color of the armoire.
How perfect is that!
What a GREAT job!!!! Love it.
I just popped in from Metamorphasis Monday and am so glad I did! Merry Christmas and please stop by Southern Somedays for a visit.
Whew! When you said it had to stay in the foyer, I thought you were giving it up as a craft closet. But you didn’t have to, thank goodness because it’s such a fantastic place to hide your crafting supplies. And it looks really classy in your foyer — now that you worked your magic! I love the bonnet top!
It looks fabulous on the outside and it’s functional on the inside = perfect!
I just found your blog. Love your armore. And I can’t take my eyes off of that bookshelf with ladder I see in the background. So I’m off to go search through your photos to see more of it.
brilliant! what a great way to organize the bibs and bobs 🙂
amazing! And inspiring! Julia Childs made pegboard legit, and you have just raised the bar for cute and functional.

This is awesome. Oh how I remember going crazy with stencils many years ago, what were we thinking? It looks so good now and the storage makes me jealous.
Wow, it is great! I love organization, so this is totally up my alley. You picked a great shade of gray, too!
It looks fab! Great job!
Ooh la la! I love it. At first glance I thought the stenciling on the doors wasn’t so bad, but the after shots are soooooo much better. Great job~
I’m drooling over your craft armoire! I’m putting it in the PoPP Spotlight.
saw you on frugalicious friday- love love LOVE this idea! Once we retire our current entertainment center {which looks similar to how your armoire started!} now I know what I want to do with it!! Thanks for the inspiration 😀
Wow, that’s some kind of great bargain at $25 — you couldn’t even have purchased the wood for that! You did a great job of re-habbing it.

This is what I have planned to do with a $75 Broyhill armoire that I bought for my sewing/craft rooom!! I have everything in it except never thought to put peg board and the door. I do have a thread spool rack hanging on my door. Thanks for the inspiration. You did an awesome job on it!
That is beautiful! You sure made a treasure! I’m inspired to make one for myself, trouble is I’m running out of room for furniture in my house… something will have to go!
What a find!! That is really awesome!
I love this!!!! I need am armoire just like this to use it for the exact thing you are. 🙂
I have an armoire thats very similar in shape. I thought it was the same as yours but its not…a bit different. I was thinking of selling it on Craigslist once our current TV bites the dust and we buy a new one. But now it may stay and just get repurposed:) You saved it!
Wow, I am seriously in love with your craft armoire! I need one for my craft room! I love the color you painted it, and the pegboard is such a great idea! Now I just need to find one on Craig’s List! Thanks for the great inspiration:)
That is seriously amazing! You did a fabulous job converting that armoire….and Martha sells them for $$$$ so you are a frugal diva!! Featuring on tonights Frugal Friday!
that is truly amazing- the price and the makeover!! Beautiful job. Found you through your feature on the Shabby Nest. 🙂
you did such a fabulous job on this, it is so pretty but still functional, I love it!
Hmmmm….I have an armoire in my college daughters’ room.
It needs just a little sumthin’.
You give me lots of ideas with your armoire + another armoire I saw around blogland: http://lindycottagehill.blogspot.com/2011/01/magic-sewing-table.html
I think I will combine the two…
You are so creative!

I absolutely LOVE this, I hope you don’t mind me sharing today on my blog…
What a great idea and done perfectly. We all could use one of these, I’m sure. Yours is absolutely amazing!
This is just amazing! And for $25 dollars??? You did an awesome job with the entire project – I have a computer armorie that we recently purchased for our desktop, but now all we use are laptops so this gives me a great idea for our cabinet… 🙂
This is freaking fantastic. I suddenly have the urge to go scour yard sales and antique malls for old armoires….
Your craft hutch is gorgeous! I linked this to my armoires post too today – you did such a lovely job with yours!
